A/R Solo Plant Fiber Farm with video (720 foes/hour)
This is a simple, fast, and effective A/R solo for getting plant fiber, spiritwood planks, and ele tomes. Make sure you salvage your dragon roots for plant fiber.
The run itself takes 45 seconds. Allowing 15 seconds for zoning time, that is 1 minute per run. 12 kills per run yields a kill rate of 720 foes per hour.

Yes, slightly. With a ranger, you can use whirling without bothering with winnowing. Also, it will do 11 damage instead of 9. The spike takes 9 seconds to complete, so it will save you about 1.7 seconds on that front, plus the casting time on Winnowing. This will sum to a savings of about 7.5 seconds per run, which is an increase in efficiency of about 14%. You can expect to kill 820 foes per hour using a ranger.
I would argue that this is a slight enough difference that the margin of error in execution from a non-exemplary farmer would negate most of the difference.

I did. It's in the video from 0:09 to 0:17. Please fully understand my posts before criticizing it. Thank you.

That thread is for an R/A, not an A/R. The bar he is using is outdated because of the BUH update, and my video shows how to do it 29% more efficiently. That version would only net 558 kills per hour, even if he didn't waste time taking the bounty.

Natural Stride, as an IMS, provides a 33% boost. Storm Chaser yields only 25%. I run for 24 seconds in the video, so that would lose out on 1.5 seconds per run. I feel no need to sacrifice this time because there is no issue with energy management in this build.

Nope. Wastrel's Demise will do 8+16+24+26+26=100 damage with 11 or 12 in Domination and 16 in Shadow Arts, if the target fails to activate a skill. The foes we face have 600 health. Something will interrupt one of these, so you will need a minimum of 7 casts to kill the ball. Arcane Echoing Wastrel's Demise 7 times would take 2.75+3.25+3.25+3.25+.25=12.75 seconds to activate, with 5 seconds after that to finish the spike. So, you're looking at probably 18 seconds to spike, or 17 if you're optimistic. My spike, as seen in the video, takes 9 seconds. Add the 6 seconds from the casting of the spirit and the deaths charge in, and I've still got you beat by a second or two.

This is a good farm for getting canthan skinned items aswell, echovauld, gothics, Dual Gothic Axes. I did this on a ranger so I wonder if ranger or assassin would be better? with a ranger you have +AR VS Ele damage. just take a staff for energy if energy is a problem.

Ive been doing this farm for about 3 months now , you should have stated that you need to have the quest " A new escort " active or those Dragon Moss will not spawn.
The build I use is a variant of the A/Me Vaettir but with mantra of lightning over channeling

There is already a thread about this farm with comments/suggestions/variations/alternative locations, if you have something to add you might as well do it there!

R/A or A/R it's essentially the same thing, survive with deadly paradox shadow form and shroud of distress ball them together and kill them with whirling defense, the rest are just optional. So this is a variation of that farm and if there was a new thread for each variation this place would be swarming with them. In order to keep the forum clean and easy to read if someone finds a better/faster/etc variation of a farm they post it in the original thread. This has the additional bonus that the several pages of talk and suggestions discussed during the creation of the thread get "bumped" along with the new variation for everyone who wants to read them.

Is there any in the game that doesn't already know about this?
You only need 4 skills. None of them require any real thought.

Ty for the post anyway this is a decent farm for rare echo-forest shields but the farm last about 10 runs straight until you start getting shite for drops (meaning 1-2 of anything). I come back every couple of weeks on my ranger to do this farm and the same thing happens. I will admit however that during events the drops tend to stabilize and sometimes feel like they even increase. To add, it seems that when I go R/E with a bow they die in 2-3 clumps, granted the run is 1:40s or so but I don't get the horrible drop rate that I get when running 45s W/D build. Just my thoughts. Gl with your farm
